Alex Da Corte: Mouse Museum
Explore the whimsical world of Alex Da Corte with Mouse Museum, a unique and captivating book inspired by Claes Oldenburg's iconic installation. Designed as a - mutant facsimile - of the 1979 catalog for Oldenburg's Mouse Museum/Ray Gun Wing, this book serves as a codex for Da Corte's own imaginative reinterpretation. Da Corte updates Oldenburg's concept for the 21st century, transforming a Mickey Mouse-shaped room filled with eclectic objects into a contemporary art installation.
This book features over 300 color images of items like glass fruit, McDonald's Happy Meal toys, and fake flowers, all meticulously arranged in a room shaped like Mickey Mouse's left ear - a nod to Van Gogh.
